This privacy policy applies to the MetaScope app available on the Apple App Store. We respect your privacy. We do not collect, use, store, or share any personal information or usage data from users of the app.

Data Collection

Zero Data Collection Policy

  • We do not collect personal data.
  • We do not track user behavior or usage statistics.
  • We do not use third-party analytics or advertising tools.

Permissions

The app may request access to system features (e.g., file system access or photo metadata) solely for providing the intended functionality. No data is collected or transmitted from your device.

Required Permissions:

  • File System Access: To read and edit metadata in your photos and videos
  • Photo Library Access: To process metadata in your image files
  • Location Services (Optional): Only when you choose to add GPS data to files

All processing happens locally on your device. Your files and metadata never leave your Mac unless you explicitly choose to export or share them.

Data Storage

MetaScope operates entirely offline and locally on your Mac:

  • All metadata editing is performed locally on your device
  • No data is transmitted to external servers
  • Your files remain on your device at all times
  • App preferences are stored locally using macOS standard user defaults

Third-Party Services

MetaScope does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. The app is completely self-contained and operates without any external connections.

We may update this privacy policy if required. Any changes will be posted publicly and you will be notified through app updates or our website.
